BV-216 Deck/Rim Mounted Diverter Valve is a high flow back flow preventer, the inside of the 3/4″ ports are rimmed for solder the outside are NPT threaded whereby the hand shower port the inside is 3/8″ FIP and the the outside is 1/2″ MIP. threaded. We recommend not to overt heat the valve body and when soldering kip the torch flame away from body. This high flow 3/4″ diverter back flow preventer is ideal for Whirlpool, Waking tub any large Bathtub the seal for the diverting dynamic tube are 2 identical custom made parabolic O”ring axially installed to attain a perfect seal as well a smooth switch between spout to hand shower thus eliminating any possibility of water-hammer. The brass body is casting the internal components are Engineered plastic, this valve can only be installed on a horizontal position and can be coupled with all type of rim mount faucet.                                                                                                      RECOMMENDATION: Omni Brass recommend to use the following 4 custom made components when a hand shower is used                                                         1)- 3/8″ custom elbow 3/8″ NPT x 3/8″ SPT.                                                                                                                                                                                     1)- 3/8″ x 24″ long stainless steel hose                                                                                                                                                                                                 1)-3/8″ brass coupling to connect together the 2 hoses                                                                                                                                                                         1)- Replace the main chrome hose with a 3/8″ FIM nut x 1/2″ conical nut 60 incs long.                                                                                                                 REASON: Should the main chrome hose required to be replaced as it get damaged very often than the 3/8″ x 24″ long stainless steel hose been attached to the diverter valve and never brake both hoses can be retrieved from the top of the bath tub rim than to replace the damaged chrome hose can be done by simply removing it from the brass adapter all this will eliminating the need to brake the finished area.

Standard, the spline is a 20 tooth broach, but can be customized according to customer specification.
All BREDAVALVE® are easily serviceable from above the deck.
